Why is 'Use resource' button disabled?

Why is 'Use resource' button disabled?

In the Content Safety Studio, I can see the resource I have created, I am showing as its owner and yet, when I select the resource the 'Use resource' button is greyed out (disabled). Why?

as I mentioned, I am the Owner (and Contributor) to this resource so access rights should not be an issue. I am confused by your second option. Per this, I should be able to select and Use this resource. How else do I get to the Studio, which allows me to actually do something (e.g. check safety of some text)? What scenario would make this button enabled?

Hello @Marius Rochon , I would request you to check the Azure resource region. Currently, Azure AI Content Safety API's are supported on few regions, try creating resource in these regions as listed in the documentation here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/content-safety/overview#regionlocation

After that, you can sign into Content Safety Studio with your Azure subscription and Content Safety resource. Try signing out from the studio and sign-in back to see if that helps.

Also, try accessing any of the service in the content studio, if you are facing any error message, please share it with us to understand more: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/content-safety/studio-quickstart

hello @Marius Rochon , thank you for the confirmation. As I mentioned earlier, you are already accessing the resource you want to use, and that's why the 'Use resource' button is disabled because it is not necessary to select the same resource again. The resource is reflected successfully, you are good to use the services. You can check the screenshot carefully the current resource is reflected and also in the top right corner under the user's profile you should see this resource. You need not select any resource again.

This behavior may be tricky to understand if the user has only one resource, but if you have multiple resources, switching to another resource will highlight the 'Use resource' option. You can experiment with this to see how it works.

Kindly, hide subscription details while sharing screenshots on the Q&A platform.

Thanks again. How do I use this resource though, e.g per instructions in my earlier link, where do I do this, where is 'Run moderation tests'?

Hello @Marius Rochon , try accessing the studio Content Safety Studio. Once you login to the studio, in the home page, you should see all the services available. The first service is the Moderate text content.

Try to make sure you have all the necessary permissions to use the resource, or the resource is not in a running state: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/role-based-access-control/built-in-roles

To check the permissions, navigate to the Access control (IAM) tab of the resource (Azure portal) and verify the necessary roles assigned. May I know the resource region you are working on?

As per my understanding other possibilities are if the user has already selected the resource they want to work, then the Use resource button is disabled as it is not necessary to select the same resource again.

Please check if the current resource is already selected, then it is a default behavior.
