Can Microsoft Graph handle .xls files?

Happy New Year to everyone!

I need help and advice with the following issue.
I am receiving an Excel file via email in the old format (.xls) and I need to convert it automatically to the new format (.xlsx) to then upload it to SharePoint.

I tried to do this using Power Automate, but I couldn't find a 'Built-in' connector that allows me to perform the format conversion. I only find standard and premium formats, which I can't use due to security policy reasons.

Someone suggested using Microsoft Graph, but I just read that it doesn't handle .xls files. I wanted to confirm if this is true. I need to convert this file to the new format or open it in the old format and upload its content to a SharePoint list, but I'm unable to do so.

Hi @Franco Antonio Di Vito,

Using Microsoft Graph alone may not do what you need. You can try downloading the file from OneDrive, then using Path.ChangeExtension to change the file extension, and then re-upload.
