We are developing a SharePoint site and we are trying to use active directory security groups to control access to certain pages within the SharePoint. The issue is, we cannot get the domain groups to accept permissions.

I have gone to Site Permissions<Advanced Permissions Settings<Granted the Domain Group read only access(it shows up in the search bar to add to the SP.

I have also tried creating a SharePoint group and then adding the domain group inside of it after giving the domain group read only permissions.

What else can I do?

    Hi @casey feasby,

Click on Settings Gear >> Site Permissions >> Add members >> Share site only.

    User's image

Set the permission level to Read.
