Sharepoint 2019 Crawl fails after migrating from Prod to test

A couple of days ago, one of our clients moved a content database from production to development. The migration went smoothly, but there's an issue: the search results within site collections are not showing up. Previously, everything worked fine in both environments, but after restoring the content database in development, the search is not returning any results. I've tried resetting the index and performing a full crawl, but the crawl log shows zero results in the success, warning, and error sections. I've checked almost everything, but I can't find any misconfigurations. Are there specific procedures for the restoration process or infrastructure configuration that I might be overlooking? Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @SP66,

Thank you for posting in this community.

Since we can't reproduce your situation, we need to narrow down the problem and try some things.

1.Ensure that your site collection resides in the correct content database in the test environment.

Navigate to Central Admin >> Application Management >> View All Site Collections.  This will display the content database name of a particular site collection.

2.You can try to re-index this site collection again.

3.It is possible that something is wrong with your search service application. So, I suggest you re-configure the search service application.

Create and configure a Search service application in SharePoint Server.
