How to merge or disconnect 2 personal Microsoft accounts

In the course of time, I switched from one e-mail (Gmail) to another (own domain). Somehow this resulted in 2 separate Microsoft personal accounts associated with each e-mail address (account1, account2). I can log into each. The Gmail-based account1 is linked to Azure, while the domain-based account2 has an ongoing family M365 subscription on it. However, these personal accounts are invisibly connected, referring from one to the other. The link is not visible, however, there is no reference in one account profile to the other. But when I try to create a new free Azure account under the new account2 with own domain, Azure points me back to the old Gmail-based account1, and tells me " there is already free Azure account associated with this account ...".

How can I disconnect or merge these 2 accounts, to get out of this mess?

The Microsoft Q&A platform currently does not provide support for Azure Certifications inquiries. I would recommend that you seek assistance in the designated Microsoft Credentials forum instead.
