About a week ago I was advised to "navigate to":
Azure Active Directory > Users > Password reset notifications
Ordinarily I'm more than happy to spend way too long clicking around like a total buffoon in order to correct a very basic yet completely nonsensical default behavior choice courtesy of Microsoft, but my access is limited right now so today is different.
