Organisation Information via LinkedIn API

Hi

I'm looking to use LinkedIn to validate the number of employees a company has, and am trying to find details on the "Company Search" API which has been mentioned in posts recently. When applying for API access I've only got access to a handful of the API functions and it doesn't look like Company Search is included. Can someone point me towards the process for getting access to the API that will provide information about an organisation such as #employees, #followers etc?
