I have a WSUS 2016 server fully updated and successfully synchronized. And I am missing the following updates. With SQL server.

I have also checked all checkboxes on updates types.

KB list I am missing: anybody else experiencing it ? Any change someone managed to download them and can share the settings of the WSUS server.

Thanks for your posting on this forum.

To avoid misunderstanding, here is my understanding of this case. Please help to confirm:

There is no need to install all the needed updates. If the WSUS could connect to the Internet, it is recommended to check online for updates from the Microsoft Update. It will install the latest updates.

If there are any updates about this issue, please let me know.

    Regards,
    Rita

@Rita Hu -MSFT ,I tried to find specific updates (as mentioned above) and I can't find them in my WSUS server. I query the WSUS available updates via SQL query (WSUS uses SQL DB for storing its data), and I can't find those updates. I don't plan to install all updates, but we sometimes need to download a specific update (e.g. make sure the update don't break anything in our systems) and I can't do it right now

    Hello,

    Thanks for your response.

According to this link, we couldn't get the KB 4580390 from WSUS. But we could install the update from Windows Update or the Microsoft Update. We could check online for updates from Microsoft Update as the below picture.

In addition, we could connect to the Microsoft Update Catalog to get this update too.

    Regards,
    Rita

In fact, the Windows 10 clients install updates based on the operating system version. The best way is to check online for updates from the Microsoft Update.

In addition, we could check the needed updates from the Windows 10 updates history.

I checked the update history in my environment and the following updates are installed in my environment. Please help to confirm whether these updates are installed in your environment or not. If not, please try to install it first.

    KB4580346: 2020-10 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB4580346)
KB4576750:2020-09 Servicing Stack Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB4576750)
    KB890830:Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - v5.83 (KB890830)
KB4494175:2020-09 Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB4494175)

Note that we should install the Service Stack Update before installing the Cumulative Update.
