Windows 11 22H2 MDT not joining to Domain

Good afternoon,

I have recently learnt how to use MDT and WDS, after the person responsible for it had left. I have successfully managed to capture a Windows 11 22H2 WIM file, which I have now set to deploy as a task sequence.

The 22H2 build successfully installs, however, it won't join our domain. Once the install has finished, it restarts to the log in screen with only Administrator. I log in with the local administrator account and everything is working well with no errors, but it is just not joined to the domain.

If i choose the previous build to install under the same deployment share, it installs correctly and joins it to the domain.

Does anyone know what I could try or where I should be looking to sort this issue out?

Thank you in advance

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

Here's some basic steps we can try:

    1. Check if "Join domain" option is configured well in Task Sequence Configuration.
    2. Check network connection to DC:

Run ping and nslookup command in CMD windows on MDT server to check network connectivity to the domain controller. Sometimes DNS resolution can also lead to this issue.

Let's see if it can help narrow down the issue.

    Best Regards,
    Shujun
