How to regain access to Authenticator app

I recently got a new phone and completely forgot about Authenticator. I have tried logging into my account on my new phone but it says it requires a sign in approval on the Authenticator app. Of course I can’t access the app to approve so what else can I do? I don’t have a cloud backup so is there no other way to recover?

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

In the absence of a backup for restoration, the sole recourse is to utilize the account recovery methods provided by each service provider. The Microsoft Authenticator functions solely as a code generator.
