How to overcome rate control using Partner Center API

Question

I've followed the detailed explanation of how to publish IAP updates from this section of the documentation:

However, it would appear that I cannot make more than 1 commit action every 5 minutes - there's some kind of flood control / rate control built into the API. I'm trying to update 500 APIs, at the rate of 5 minutes + per commit, that's over 40 hours to complete the process.

Is there any way around this rate control / 5 minute lockout?
