How to switch off/restrict past viewer display history

My Company uses SharePoint to display company policies & procedures. This works well, however it does display a history of previous viewer. For most documents this is not an issue, but for more sensitive documents (eg. Maternity leave, Family/Domestic violence) this is a huge privacy problem (See image below). Is there a way we can turn off this display??

    Hi @Steel, Debbie ,

    To achieve this effect, you can do the following:

    1. Go to SharePoint admin center as an admin, under Policies, select Sharing.
    2. Scroll down to the Other settings section, Clear the "Let site owners choose to display the names of people who viewed files or pages in SharePoint" checkbox.
    3. Select Save.
