What is the labelling recommendation when I need to locate two signatures located in 2 separate pages in a single document?

I am training a custom model to identify signatures. Documents that I am training on have 5 pages. Signature is present on page 3 and page 5 at the bottom left corner. There is no difference in terms of how the rectangular area look like for both pages (page 3 and 5) where signature is expected. The pages themselves (page 3 and page 5) do look a bit different.

As I already experienced, I cannot use the same label twice. So it means I cannot mark signature on page 3 and page 5 with the same label. Thus my question: Should I use two separate labels for page 3 and page 5 signatures? Or should I split the document and upload page 3 and page 5 separately and then use the same label?

Hello @Vytautas Verbus , Thanks for using Microsoft Q&A Platform.

Yes, currently, this is the limitation we have when we try to label the multipage document under the same label field it will throw this Cross-page label error. So, we have to create a separate label field.

I have reproduced this issue with the 2023-10-31 (Preview) version. I personally feel the best option is to create separate labels (example: signature1, signature2) from the multi-page document, it is easy for me rather than splitting the document.

Either of the options you have mentioned work well. Ultimately, the best approach depends on the specific requirements of your use case and the characteristics of your data.

I hope this helps. Thank you again for your time and patience throughout this issue.

    Regards,
    Vasavi
