I'm attempting to enforce a policy that locks Windows 10 devices after 30 minutes of inactivity. I've applied the policy using "Device lock > Max Inactivity Time Device Lock" in the setting catalog, and I can confirm that the policy is applied. When checking the registry at "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\current\device\DeviceLock MaxInactivityTimeDeviceLock," I observe that the time is correctly set to 30 minutes. However, the device times out much earlier, closer to 10 minutes, and I'm encountering issues with the expected behavior. Screenshot 2024-01-12 at 09.28.21

I have deployed policy to the device not user. Please help!

@Aran Billen, Thanks for posting in Q&A. From your description, I know we have configured "Max inactivity time device lock". And the registry key is applied. But the device is not lock after 30 minutes. but closer to 10 minutes. If there's any misunderstanding, feel free to let us know.

Based as I know, if one GPO with the same setting applied to this device as well, the GPO will take effect. Therefore, please check if any GPO with the similar setting applied to this device. If yes, remove it to see if the result will be different.

Hope the above information can help. If there's any update, feel free to let us know.
