I cleared the TPM which forces you to restart. When I go to log in, actually I think windows proactively told me that I would have to create a new pin. I dont want to create a new pin and managed to get logged in with more options. But now windows hello acts like it cant even use a pin. Why is there suddenly all these issues? TPM seems like its not a good thing to use or have if this is how easily everything is messed up. hello

    Hi Christopher,

    Thanks for your post.

0x80090016 means TPM operation failed or was invalid. This issue was probably caused by a corrupted sysprep image. I suspect when doing the clearing TPM, it would create a sysprep image, make sure to use a computer that isn't joined to or registered in Microsoft Entra ID or hybrid Microsoft Entra ID.
