There are many reasons for this, let’s check them out:
1.You can go to check if the users have enabled the “Open Office files in the browser” option in their browser settings. If this option is enabled, the browser will try to open the file in the browser itself.
2.You can also try clearing the browser cache and cookies, or resetting the browser settings to default.
3.If the issue persists, you may want to check if there are any add-ins or extensions installed in the browser that could be causing the issue.
4.You can also try opening the file in a different browser to see if the issue is specific to Edge.
5.You can compare whether the permissions of the two users on the file are different.
