What is Deadline Date for Migration of Authentication methods policy in Azure Active Directory

I recently received an email from Microsoft Azure (azure-noreply@microsoft.com) with the subject "Migrate to the Authentication methods policy in Azure Active Directory by 30 September 2024." However, upon logging into my Azure portal and navigating to the manage migration section, I noticed that the displayed deadline is 30 September 2025, which contrasts with the date mentioned in the email. Could you kindly clarify what the accurate deadline is for migrating to the Authentication methods policy in Azure Active Directory? I have attached screenshots for your reference.

@Sai Abhilash Thank you for reaching out to us, As I understand you have question on the dates regarding the migration of Authentication methods policy.

In March 2023 We announced the retirement date of September 30th, 2024 for managing authentication methods in the legacy MFA (per-user) and SSPR policies. We have extended the same to September 30th, 2025.

Hi, It is beginning of September 2024 and this was publish in 2022 as well, so I will start to prepare the migration from the legacy auth policies to Azure AD without any delays - https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/updates/azure-multifactor-authentication-server-will-be-deprecated-30-september-2024/ Also to clarify you can raise a support case with MS via the portal and someone should get back to you with the confirmed time, but as suggested I will start planning to migrate to Azure AD from Legacy policies asap.
