ZRS for DTU Basic and Standard Tiers
Hi Team,
I am currently looking at the different DR solutions for Azure SQL databases.
I see Zon-redundant backup storage (ZRS) as the High Availability option for Azure SQL databases and from Microsoft documentation (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-sql/database/high-availability-sla?view=azuresql&tabs=azure-powershell#zone-redundant-availability )- this option is only available for General Purpose, Premium, Business Critical & Hyperscale services tiers, and not for Basic & Standard tiers.
I went ahead to test this on the portal for BASIC and STANDARD tiers and found that it's possible to configure ZRS for those tiers.
Can you please explain why the documentation from Microsoft says it's not possible to have ZRS for those services tiers but from the portal it's the opposite? Appreciate your help on this.
