I am currently trying to train a custom extraction model based on the form data that I have. One of the documents that I have contains 2 different pages with the same form with different values. I want my custom model to be able to analyze the data on both pages but I can currently only label the first page without overlapping it onto the second page. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to ensure that my model reads the second page successfully?

Hello @Ho, Keith D , Thanks for using Microsoft Q&A Platform.

Yes, this is a known behavior. If you are trying to label the multi-page document data under the same field this cross-page label error is thrown.

Currently, this is not supported. Fields are considered global to the whole document and must be named uniquely. We don't have any ETA regarding this to share with you at this moment.

However, you can create separate similar labels (example: Date1, Date2) from the multi-page document. With this label practice you can extract the data even from the multi-page document.

You can also split the document and upload as a separate document and label. Please note that based on your use case and convenience you can opt.

Here is the similar thread that you can refer to: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1489001/what-is-the-labelling-recommendation-when-i-need-t

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Vasavi
