Hi everyone, i'm new here and I have a question hoping this is the right place to ask. I'm trying to utilize Azure Form Recognizer (Document Intelligence) custom model extraction tool to extract clauses from our legal leasing documents. My mgr said the tool is too pricy and is wanting me to look elsewhere in the Azure Suite of tools to see if their is something cheaper that I can use to extract clauses from our legal documents. Any advice is appreciated!

Hello @Will , Thanks for using Microsoft Q&A Platform.

As we know each services have some specific functionality. I don't think there is a direct replacement for Azure Document intelligence. As per my knowledge, I would suggest you check the Azure AI language services. For example, Named Entity Recognition/ custom NER service to extract the information related to legal documents: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/language-service/custom-named-entity-recognition/overview#information-extraction

Regarding pricing, if you have high volume usage of the service, instead of using pay-as-you-go pricing tier, you can try Commitment tiers. This helps with respect to pricing. You can check the pricing difference here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/ai-document-intelligence/

Additionally, you can use the Azure pricing calculator to check the estimated price before you use a service. This helps you to compare the pricing. You can access the Azure pricing calculator at: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/calculator/

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Vasavi
