We are developing tooling to help with the migration from V2 to V3 now. It is expected to be available in December. The tooling will ensure devices and users can move to V3 easily. However, configurations like CDE, Dashboards, Rules, Jobs and Groups will need to be reconfigured. (They are just too different to migrate automatically).

Without this tooling, it is possible to migrate now, but you would need to create a new V3 app and then update the device scope ID on your devices to use the scope ID for your new application. (Using the migration tooling will not require updating the devices)

Hi thank you very much for your reply , if u would like to move my app then today i have to create a new (starting from zero) and change the credential (scope id .. ) for the device side right ?
i try to wait December to evaluate up to now i prefer to keep the existing version

Hello @Cerak2 , As your application is in Development Environment, I can think to create a new V3 app and then update the device scope ID in-order migrate from V2 to V3, So that we can verify the migration now itself as per the above suggestion from PG team, and if your timelines are good enough to wait till December, then you can definitely make use of the 'Tool', but it's totally up to you and your timelines to choose the right suggestion.

Hi @QuantumCache ,
when I click on the migrate button and enter a new app name I get this error message:
We couldn't create your new app

Something went wrong when we tried to create your V3 app. Please refer to the error log to take actions if possible or contact support and reference this error code:
500. 120.070.001 / 4osv7p8ihq.23

Any idea why it won't create a new V3 app.
I've made sure the app names and device templates don't start with numbers or contain special characters.
