Hyper-V Stopping-Critical

Over the past few months, I have had issues with VMs across three physical servers. Not all (I have 14), but numerous VMs have gone into a "stopping-critical" state. This happens either when restarting from an update or simply turning off/restarting the VM. I've read through many forum posts on this issue and have found only solutions that have been found by blind luck and may or may not apply to my situation as well as no solid solutions that would explain exactly why this issue is happening. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as the end goal is to prevent this "stopping-critical" from happening but also to gain a better understanding of what triggers this issue. If requested, I will try to provide as much information as I can to help clarify.

For reference, here are a few of the solutions I have found:

    Hi ,

As stated in the link, stopping-Critical is always related with storage.

Are all three physical server connected to the same storage? If yes? How did you connect to the storage server? Via iSCSI or Fibre Channel or SMB? If you connect to the storage via Fibre Channel, please make sure you have updated HBA to the latest version.

Also make sure you have patched your Hyper-V host with fully windows updates. In addition, you might need to contact with your storage vendor to do further troubleshooting.

    Best Regards,

    Candy
