Did the SharePoint Online Page Margins Change?
There was a little padding on the far left and far right side of the page for SharePoint Online Communication sites where the web part spans the width of the page. Did this change recently where Microsoft may have removed the padding? There isn't a setting that allows you to adjust the width in the screen shot below which was taken from a Topic Comm Site. This behavior is at least seen in both types of Communication Sites.. There are multiple sites in the organization this has affected too. My site below has not had any customization done to it.

2020-11-04T21:37:03.347+00:00 Yeah, it looks like MS is playing with the margins between webparts as well.
Two weeks ago they changed the margin between columns and then rollback some days later.
I hope they rollback this change as well soon and stop messing around.
It is quite difficult to explain to my clients what and why MS does these things.See how close is the text from the image at the right:
