Microsoft Remote Desktop use 2 of 3 screens

The workplace consists of a laptop and two external monitors with an HP Dock connected. So for the laptop you have 3 screens. Within the Remote Desktop Client it is set that only screens 2 and 3 (the external screens are used) and the laptop screen is not used for the Microsoft Remote Desktop client. When starting the AVD, everything seems to go well, but after minimizing the AVD, the AVD jumps to screen 1 and 2. To rule out a number of things, we tried a number of things:

  • provide the laptop with all updates
  • Tried the Microsoft Remote Desktop Client from the Windows Store (but it can only configure 1 screen)
  • Delete application cache and also delete and redesign the application. All of the above had no desired effect. Then I connected my Surface to the docking station, the same problem occurs here. (We have never noticed this before as we use either 1 or all screens). A little later I called a colleague at the office to test the same thing, and the problem occurs here too. This means that we can exclude the current workplace with peripheral equipment and therefore blame the problem on the application.

Hello, We began to receive such issue when someone update their RDP client (AVD)/ mstsc from the previous version. So, you may try an older version and see if it will help. Let's monitor if Dev team will make some change in next release version.
