Recover Unsaved Powerpoint

Hi there. I was working on a PowerPoint presentation and had to leave urgently which resulted in me shutting my laptop without saving the file (it was never saved hence no previous file, it is also unnamed)

Is there a way for me to recover it?

What I have tried:

  • Clicked "Recover unsaved presentations" button, nothing there
  • Went to "Options", "Save" tab and visit the directory where unsaved files are supposed to be, but it's not there
  • Used a file recovery software (Disk Drill)

Would really appreciate it if anyone can help me out here. Thank you!

My Windows version: Windows 10 1909

My PowerPoint Version: Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019

Look for files in your TEMP folder with dates/times that matched the time you shut your laptop.

If you find any close matches, rename them with a PPTX extension and see if PPT will open them.

If that doesn't work, you're probably out of luck and will have to re-create the presentation.  Sorry ....
