My reply did not end up here. Basically, it says I have a sandbox activated but I am unable to access it.

Hi Ed,
What you are seeing is normal.
In this module, it is intended for you to complete tasks on your local PC with Visual Studio Code, Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell installed. You will use these local tools to deploy resources to the sandbox subscription (Concierge Subscription) that is created when you click Activate sandbox button.
This is different than what you may have seen in some of the other exercises where they want you to run commands in Azure Cloud Shell window on right half of your screen.

Ed, I'm here to help. I've successfully done the exercises you are working on now, and passed the certification exam. I mention that to say I have gone through and experienced same sort of frustrations as you.
In general the exercises in this module are walking you through doing things with tools installed on your local PC. You use these tools to deploy resources to an Azure subscription. For people that don't already have an Azure subscription, clicking "Activate sandbox" button creates a temporary subscription that they can then deploy to (using Visual Studio Code, Azure CLI, etc.).
If you still want to skip the exercises, I understand. If you want to work through them and have questions, I would be glad to answer.

Hi,
This is also an issue for me. It says I have an activated sandbox and provides the right side of the screen as a place for the sandbox/shell to be, however once you press click to sign in and enter credentials, it doesn't go through and it instead still says click to sign in. This is for AZ-104 learning path. I have signed out of all windows, tried incognito, but nothing seems to change this.
