Hello,

I have a question when I have to renew my certs.. a bit of clarification..

I passed:

  • SC-400 in Nov 2023.
  • exam for M365 Administrator Expert in Oct 2023
  • SC-300 in Feb 2024.

My questions are:

  • Do I have to renew all 3 exams I have mentioned..? or only SC-300 and SC-400..?

I am eligible to retake:- SC-400 in 100 days - expiry date Nov 2024

  • SC-300 in 172 days - expiry date Feb 2025
  • M365 Administrator Expert in 172 days - expiry date Feb 2025

What is the exact process for the certs and the expert exams are connected..?

Are those certs interact and make a cert "live" longer after passing a another certs from mentioned list..?

Kind regards

Marcin

My experience since MS started the yearly role-based certs renewal, and this is supported by the FAQs, is that you only have to take the renewal for the certs you want to maintain there is no dependency on other certs remaining active.

Given that SC-300 is a pre-requisite for the Microsoft: Cybersecurity Architect Expert you might want to keep that one renewed in case you are targeting that expert cert in the future.

Generally the effort involved in renewal is minimal and a great way to keep up with the changes.
