Hitman 3 crashing repeatedly on main menu (Launched via xbox app.)

Game crashes on main menu after I press which Xbox profile I'm playing the game under and it says "authenticating" and "fetching profile." Here is the crash info obtained via Event Viewer.

After a lot of trouble shooting 8+h I gave up and just did a clean reinstall of win11, Problem gone GAME ON! ...lol...

I don't wanna clean reinstall win11 because I don't wanna go through everything again. My Internet isn't great and I have a lot of stuff so it will take forever to redownload everything. Hopefully this is fixed soon.

update tho... sry to say that clean reinstall off windows with new usb iso, new partition just worked one time. second time I lunch the game it crashed with same fault.... still back on baseline......

Comment nr4 explains why a clean install off windows let me play for a while after reinstalling windows tho! haha... such a waste of time but at least I tried :P

Same issue here. I tried updating nVidia and Chipset drivers, disabling all other running applications, and also wiping my computer and starting from scratch, and same error. I am running Windows 11 Pro with all updates. Here is the error in Event Viewer:

Found a temporary fix that really only puts a bandaid on the issue, considering that it only allows me to play levels for a little bit before they crash.

Go to %localappdata%\Io Interactive\HITMAN3
Remove both PipelineCache.bin and PipelineLibrary.bin files.
Launch the game with NO adaptive supersampling. No FSR No DLSS no Intel NOTHING. Not a permanent fix but it might allow you a bit of game time.

Best bet now is to wait for IOI to update the game maybe.

Yeah, It works for like 10min.... I wrote a new mail to ioi on the issue with this update in mind. When it crashed this time it was d3d12 witch I assume is dx12 that crashed if Im not wrong. Lets keep updating! Thanks!

Hello "0xc0000374" means "A heap has been corrupted". Did the issue occur when we play the game for the first time or occurred unexpectedly?

If it occurred for the first time we played it, please ensure the machine and the system is compatible with the game.
Try to open administrator command line and run "sfc /scannow" and "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" to check the health of system files.
If there is any third party antivirus software installed, please remove it temporarily then reboot to check.
Check the issue in clean boot environment. How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support
Try to reinstall the game then check.
We may ask for help from the game support at the same time.
