Previous person created a data collection rule and applied it to resource group in citrix daas. Then they deleted the rule. Now the resource group is looking for that rule that was deleted. How do I clean this up?

Deaver Jason, Apologies for the delayed response, as I had been away.

I understand that you are seeing this error in the "Activity log" menu of the resource when trying to perform some activity on this VM? Could you please let me know if you were trying to add/update something in this VM when you start seeing this issue in the activity logs?

There are 2 ways, where DCR could be associated to VM causing this type of issue:

1.. This DCR might have been used in an Azure Policy. Could you please follow the steps below and share the outcome:

    1. In Azure Portal, search for "Policy"
    2. Click in the "Assignments" menu on the left.
    3. See if you have an Assignment with the name - "FA Citrix DaaS for Azure"
    4. If you find this resource, click on it --> and click "View definition"
    5. Here you would see the Azure policy in question and the DCR referred.
    6. If you find the DCR linking in this stage, it means that the Azure Policy to associated DCR with new VMs is enabled causing this issue. You may have to update this policy.

2.. It might be associated to Microsoft Azure catalog as created from Citrix side. For more details, see Create a Microsoft Azure catalog

I would suggest reviewing the 2 points mentioned above (from Azure as well as from Citrix side). You may also review the Json and Change log options for all DCR related events as available in the screenshot -

In case the information above does not help, please share additional findings based on the steps mentioned above, and specifically the answer the following question - "please let me know if you were trying to add/update something in this VM when you start seeing this issue in the activity logs?"

    Hope this helps.
