Hello,

I can't update the Email field in the contact info from portal!
It shows that it has been updated succefully but the email field gets empty again!
I find out as work around if I change the email to gmail.com then it gets saved and i can change it back to our domain but now there is one user which doesn't accept any email.

I can't find a command even to update it through azcli or powershell.

can someone let me know what is the problem?

We are not connected to any other AD, and I have global permission.

    Hello,

what are you reasons for this approach? If you want to add email you simply assign the appropriate exchange online license to the user and it will get populated.

If this user will not be licensed what is the reason to have the attribute in Azure AD?

    Just wanted to know :)

I am having this same issue. I renamed an account rather than destroying it. All of the information updated except this field. It continues to show the original user email. When I change it, the check mark show on the right, but when I click Save, the email address is changed back. The logs show success, but obviously this is not correct.
