Bitlocker recovery key

Dear Reader,

When i started my computer friday last week the computer ran a software update automatically. At the end of the update it was asking for bitlocker recovery key.

Unfortunately i was unaware of bitlocker and that this situation could occur. I dont have the recovery key. Is there any other way to get access to my computer without deleting all files on it.

    If the recovery key is lost, the drive cannot be unlocked by other means.

    Hello,

    You can locate the BitLocker recovery key online here (after signing into your account):

    https://onedrive.live.com/recoverykey

    Without recovery key, you can't decrypt files to gain access to them and you need to format the drive to reuse it.
