Newbie question VSCode produced an orangish bar that covers text making it unreadable

I have a feeling that I am putting this in the wrong Forum, but I don't know how to find the right forum for Visual Studio Code questions. If anyone can direct me to that Forum or show me how to find it, I would appreciate that very much, and I hope you will accept my apologies for posting this in the wrong forum. I am a newbie using Visual Studio Code and I don't know how to find out what is producing the orangish bar in the image attached to this question, and how to adjust the settings so that I will be able to see the underlying code and make the necessary Corrections. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
