Is it possible to have Private Categories in Outlook that are not shared?

In my organization, I have created a shared calendar that another user has access to edit, When they are editing a category for a calendar event, they see categories that I have created in my mailbox. When I decided to change the names of some of the categories for better organization in my Inbox, the titles of those categories changed for the user when editing calendar events. I rebuilt the categories to be what they will need for their needs in the calendar, but I would still like to have some user-specific categories that I can use that will only be seen by me, not sent to the Master Category list that the other user sees when updating calendar events. Is it possible to have private, user-specific categories that will not be seen by other users? Thanks!

    Hi @Alford, Father Brian ,

    Welcome to our forum!

Is it possible to have private, user-specific categories that will not be seen by other users?

No. When you give the permission to other users to edit the shared calendar, they can use all the categories you own.

    Hope to help you!
