I cannot start the database service, it gives an error .

There have been 256 misaligned log IOs which required falling back to synchronous IO.

You are running into a known issue where Windows 11 for some disk drives reports a sector size that SQL Server does not cope with. Microsoft has published an article with workarounds for the problem.

I tried hard but it didn't work. I think I will download a virtual machine (VMware).

I have not run into that disk-sector issue myself, but I have the impression that most people have been able to get things working with that article. Some people have reported that setting the sector size to 4095 rather than 4096 did the trick.

Then again, if you already have SQL Server installed, adding -T1800 to the startup parameters should be enough, I believe.

I suspect that it is likely you will get the same issue on the VM, unless you go for Windows 10 on the VM.
