What are the options available for a subscription that has reached its 128 SQL server IP address limit?

We assume you have gone through the documentation regarding recommendations for setting Firewall rules.

But if there is a absolute necessity and it passes the careful evaluation, our Product team can increase the limit. Please comment on this answer to start the process if needed. Please do not share anything else e.g. subscription id etc. as we will let you know of a secure process for doing so.

Hope this helps.

We have reached the maximum 128 firewall rule limit. We have an open ticket on this and not getting any movement since the ticket was transferred from your Capacity Team to your Firewall Team. We are unable to provide access to clients and employees on our production server.

In Case if there are frequent firewall changes, you can create a Vnet and add the database within Vnet

You can add multiple users within the Vnet .

Just a thought :) Not sure of the actual implementation plan

Thank you for your comment. Does a VNET remove the IP address requirement? I will research that.

Using a VNET will not work because a server can have up to 128 ACL entries for any virtual network.

I believe an Azure VPN will work.
