Unable to create channel in teams called "Informed Consent"

Hi,

I have a Teams channel called "Dept Office Admin"

Inside this channel I tried to create subchannel called "Informed Consent" but it gives me an error saying "Another channel already has that name, Try a different one"

I looked in the channels and subchannels for a channel with the same name but couldn't find any. Regardless, shouldn't these subchannels be unique to each channel? Since all of them start out with a "General" channel?

Any help here would be appreciated, thank you.

    Hi @Rhuan Williamson

The reason for this problem may be that a channel named "Informed Consent" originally existed in the "Dept Office Admin" team but was recently deleted.

Channels can be restored within 21 days of deletion, but no new channels can be created with the same name as the deleted channel within that 21-day window.

If you are a team owner, click on the "More" option next to the team (shown as 3 horizontal dots) and select "Manage Teams". Move to the right pane and access the "Channels" list, which will appear under the "Deleted" list.

You can also try clearing the Teams cache and logging in again.
