We have an office 365 group, lets call it "Workevent"
We actively use the sharepoint site, teams channel and mailbox attached to this group. We recently have a problem where the mailbox is full.
I wanted to know If I can set a retention policy to apply ONLY to the mailbox. I found a few articles suggesting using the compliance centre but I am concerned this will also apply to the teams and sharepoint site?
I want to set a 'delete after 2 years' retention to the mailbox ONLY
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated
You have to include both the mailbox and sharepoint site in a policy:

So it's not possible to have retention only for the mailbox attached to a office 365 group?
For the retention policy, you should include the SharePoint teams site.
