How do I enable single sign-on to Office 365 when using Entra Cloud Sync?

Hello-

I am in the process of migrating on-premises resources to Office 365. So far, I have deployed Entra Cloud Sync (NOT Entra Connect Sync) to synchronize my on-premises Active Directory to Entra. It is working well.

I am able to join my Windows 11 Pro PCs to Entra/InTune without a problem and am able to log in as one of my users without a problem.

I would like to enable single sign-on to my Office 365 account. Currently, I have to type in my credentials at office.com the first time as opposed to SSO. Is there a way to enable this ?

Hi,

As per my knowledge, Microsoft Entra seamless single sign-on (Seamless single sign-on) automatically signs in users when they're using their corporate desktops that are connected to your corporate network. So, did you try using Microsoft Entra connect wizard to enable the SSO.

Single sign-on enables users to access both the on-premises and Microsoft 365 or Office 365 organizations with a single username and password.

You have three options when deploying single sign-on: password hash synchronization, pass-through authentication and federation, for example, Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS). All options are implemented by Microsoft Entra Connect. We strongly recommend using the password hash synchronization method unless you have a specific need that requires federation. Password hash synchronization provides many of the same benefits of federation without the complexity of its deployment.
