Same problem here while doing AZ-900. I was simply following the units one by one and upon reaching the "exercise" page, and clicking the activate button it ended up showing:

"Your account or connection was flagged for unusual activity. Because of this we've suspended your access to the [lab environment]. If you think we've made an error, you can submit an appeal to regain access."

I've clicked on "appeal" button (see screenshot).

This pretty much kills the "learning experience". Also, I am planning to be taking the AZ-900 exam next week, hence why I am studying on a Saturday/Sunday night so this is pissing me off very much.

We are really sorry to hear that you are facing an issue while trying to complete the exercise. Please try the following steps which will help you in resuming your study of the Fundamentals learn path:

Kindly log out of your Microsoft profile.

Clear your browsing history and cookies.

Now try and log into Microsoft profile in a browser or you can try accessing it in InPrivate/Incognito mode.

Trying to access the exercise after a gap of 24 hours also helps.

If the issue persists, please don't hesitate to reach out to us with a screenshot of the error (please hide your PII), and we will help you.

Private browsing, different browser, different machine, trying after hours or days, no success at all.

I've appealed on 17/03/2024 and today is 21/03/2024, and still, no updates or fix:

It says: "...Use the Appeal button to submit a review request. Our fraud team will verify the lab activity and unblock the sandbox within 24-36 hours if the appeal is successful."

The fact that I've never used any Sandbox environment(s) via my account and yet was flagged as "unusual activity", immediately, right after trying to run it for the first time, pisses me even more. I am taking this exam on Monday (25.03.2024).

I can confirm that I’m having the same issue as well, I’ve been checking back and forth to see if anything was done and have been waiting for almost 5 days for my appeal to be accepted after being told that it may take several days. It’s very frustrating when you’re trying to learn something but can’t do any of the exercises through Microsoft learn.

Hello. Please assist. I'm having this same problem trying to complete the Azure Fundamentals course exercises (AZ-900).

I clicked on the "appeal" button more than a week back, but it still shows I'm waiting for an appeal.

Hello. I am having issue similar issue. I have never been used sandbox with my accout before, and I appealed on April 4, 2024, and also tried logging of my accout, clearing browser history, cache and also tried with private/ignito mode but I am still having the issue.

Please assist to get my issue resolved so I can practicing the modules in Sandbox.

From your question we understand that you are facing this issue while trying to access sandbox. It might have happened because the system detected the use of sandboxes in rapid succession. Please try the following steps which will help you in resuming your study of the Fundamentals learn path.
