Page blank second time I open app on Android

Hi
I'm deploying an app to a physical Android tablet (Lenovo TB370FU Android 13.0 - API 33). I have a webview that works the first time I run the app after deployment. But not the second time. The second time the whole page (including the labels I have above the webview) becomes blank.
If I delete the app and deploy it again, it works. I'm running Maui 8, Visual Studio 17.8.7.
