How do I work with win7 OSD task sequence which no longer works since upgrading to 2322

Since upgrading MECM to 2322 I can no longer operate with a win7 OSD task sequence. I cannot use a win7 boot image, when i show it any boot.wim other than win10 it fails.

I tested using a win10 x86 boot image and still the win7 OS and it fails.

The whole thing works like nothing was with win1o boot image and win10 OS.

There are still well over 1000 devices in my org which use win7.

Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

1,Per the official document, the latest Configuration Manager version is not supporting Windows 7 device as a client. And also, Windows 7 is out of lifecycle for years, it's recommended to upgrade Windows 10 or 11 to get better support:

Supported OS versions for clients and devices for Configuration Manager

2,For troubleshooting suggestion, you can review the smsts.log on the client to see if there is any further information.

Thanks for your understanding. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon

hi Simon thank you for answering. I'm not sure the sequence even gets far enough to write to the smsts.log file.

It does not complete the PXEBoot process.
