How do I fix an error installing a WSL Ubuntu distribution?

I was following the tutorial: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install-manual .

I got to step 6, but got the error"RegisterDistribution failed with error: 0x80070002 Error: 0x80070002 The system cannot find the file specified." on the virtual Ubuntu terminal.

Did I miss something in that tutorial? I'm on Windows 10 Education (Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.4170))
