Does ACS store or retain data when Diagnostic settings is not enabled? if yes, what is the retention date?

I can see the log when Diagnostic settings is enabled. Wanted to understand when Diagnostic settings are not enabled for ACS

I have checked with Internal team and sharing the below.

Unfortunately, replay or retention of the logs before the enable the diagnostic settings were not possible.

All the logs will be sent to azure monitor only going forward starting from the date when the diagnostic settings were enabled.
