The Add Role and Component Wizard and Remove Role and Component Wizard in Windows Server 2025 Data Center do not work.

Question

When trying to install components and roles in Windows Server via the Role and Component Deployment Manager, it just displays a red cross with no error code. I performed sfc/scannow, the system did not detect any integrity violations. I have also reinstalled Server Manager, restored DISM, nothing helped. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

What is the exact error message you have got?

The error message is not written in English, it is hard to understand the exact issue. If it is possible, please share us more details of the exact issue.

Usually installing the feature may need a network connection, please ensure you haven't configured any firewall rules to disable the Microsoft Website and ensure there is no policy to restrict the windows update feature.

We could open administrator command line and run "gpresult /h C:\gp.html" to check the group polies. If it is possbile, please remove the machine from the domain temporaruly to isolate the domain policies effection.

If there is any third party antivirus software installed, please remove it temporarily.
