Has anybody successfully deployed asp.net core 8 in a Linux Apache environment secure with SSL on port 80 | 443?

You configure apache as a reverse proxy. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/aspnet/core/host-and-deploy/linux-apache?view=aspnetcore-8.0 then you install ssl support on apache. https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/ssl/ssl_howto.html

Which port?

Apache should be using ports 80 and 443 and maybe 8080. You pick a different port for the asp.net application and typically disable ssl, but can use the proxy header to do a redirect.

do you have a different webserver installed besides Apache?

Ha! Port 8080 (or 5000 | 5001) No not yet, obviously windows server was my first choice but I needed Apache for another project in PHP. I guess things will get easier once set. Do you use windows server yourself?
