How do I fix an issue where my games on Xbox that I bought with money say I need game pass?

(there were no tags that matched but I had to put one so I put a random one)
So ever since I got my new Xbox certain games act weird ex. Call of Duty Cold War doesn't let me play multiplayer and says I need Xbox live which I have. Also something to note is that when I got my new Xbox (series X) I was paying for gamepass and not receiving it so we cancelled it. Now I bought rainbow six siege but whenever I go to play it it says I need game pass to play it even though I bought it with money. I have scoured the internet in search of a solution and I cant find anyone that has ever had this issue. I just want to play Siege and I would love for someone to tell me how to fix this.
