Migrating GPO settings to Entra Domain Services managed domain

A customer of mine wishes to demote their on-premise domain and migrate to Entra Domain Services managed domain. They want to know if it's possible to sync computer object and migrate all GPO settings. Has anyone tried this solution before?

Hi @Richard Y

You cannot sync computer object to Entra Domain Services managed domain.

Only virtual machine in Azure can join Entra Domain Services managed domain.

If you have a hybrid environment and you want to demote your domain , there is no way to migrate GPO setting in Entra.

You should your customer to try move some settings to intune but it cannot replace all feature provided by Group policy.
