Hi Kelwin Santos ,
Thank you for reaching out to us on Microsoft Q&A forum.
Reader: View all resources but does not allow you to make any changes.
Contributor: Grants full access to manage all resources but does not allow you to assign roles in Azure RBAC, manage assignments in Azure Blueprints, or share image galleries.
When you assign a user contributor permission within a system, their access rights are usually adjusted to accommodate the new role. Generally, when assigning a user contributor permission, it indicates an extension of their capabilities beyond those of a reader. Whereas "reader" permissions typically enable only viewing, they are superseded by "contributor" permissions, which typically enable a broader range of actions, such as editing or adding content. Any roles assigned to you will persist alongside your newly acquired contributor privileges.
