change from 365 to home office

My MS 365 has expired I want to change to Home Office one off payment. will I be able to access, edit my old Excel and Word files?

    Yes. Files produced by Office products are not tied to the software license they were produced with. You can send those files to other people and provided they have an Office product then they can work with your documents.

    Having said that be aware that if you had MS 365 and were storing your documents in OneDrive and you have exceeded the space allowed for whatever version of Office you'll be using now then you are going to lose access to the documents as your OneDrive account exceeds what you can store. If this applies to you then ensure your OneDrive account isn't storing more data than you are allowed. You can refer to the current info here to see what limits you have.
