How to check SharePoint ListItem event receiver updating event attachment check

I have a requirement to check SharePoint on prem list Item attachments count and show error while saving if no attachment to that Item.
I don't find any way to get information from afterproperties, am I missing anything here, can you point me if any options to check number of attachments from afterproperties.
